Future Trends for Microanalytical Systems and Chip-based Bioanalytics
developments of multiparametric technologies in applied genomics and
proteomics research enriched enormously the discovery of novel
biomarkers and improved applications in the clinical practice.
Comprehensive technologies also simplify clinical diagnosis of
autoimmune diseases and lower costs while performing large panels of
assays in single wells with high sensitivity and specificity.
Methodologies include autoantibody detection and cell pattern
recognition but also PCR-based approaches.
The 8th Senftenberg Innovation Forum on
Multiparametric Analysis will focus on advances in multiparametric
autoimmune diagnostics in research and the healthcare market.
Multiparametric technologies are a prerequisite for precision medicine
that places the patient at the center of integrated clinical research,
diagnosis and therapy. The overall aim is to identify patients who are
more susceptible to certain diseases, and who will respond to
treatments differently. Multiparametric diagnostic tools are used to
understand diseases and to develop preventive diagnostics and
individualized therapies. Patient data from genomic, epigenetic,
proteomic and environmental sources are combined to find the
appropriate treatment or technology to maximize outcomes. Various
analytical platforms and novel biomarkers will be presented at this
forum as well as new systems that combine cell-based tests with a
secondary technology such as protein microarrays, integrated chip
technologies or microbeads.
